LifeNet Reads to Kids at the Stillwater Public Library

LifeNet EMS in Stillwater teaches kids about the ambulance at the Stillwater Public Library Try It Tuesdays event.

LifeNet staff hosted Try it Tuesdays at the Stillwater Public Library’s Children’s Program on October 16th.

During LifeNet’s visit to the library, kids enjoyed:

1. Story Time with LifeNet
LifeNet’s Director of Public Relations, Tina , read two books to the kids including The Cow Tripped Over the Moon and Ambulance in Action.

2. Bystander CPR & Make an Ambulance Craft
Depending on the age, children also learned how to do bystander CPR.  Several kids also took the opportunity to make a model paper LifeNet ambulance.

3. Ambulance Tours
Children got to climb inside the ambulance and learn about the various features that allow our paramedics and EMTs to take care of patients in the community.

All kids also left with a coloring book that taught 9-1-1 education tips.

The event was provided for free to attendees.  Volunteers from LifeNet who made the event possible included Paramedic Amy, Paramedic Cory, EMT Quincy, and Director of Billing Audrea.
