Employee Spotlight: Josh Frierson
Position: Paramedic
Division: Texarkana, TX
Josh started as an EMT at LifeNet in 2008 and became a paramedic in 2021.
He originally went to EMT school because it was a requirement for fire school.
“After fire school and EMT school, I decided I liked the medical field more,” he said. “I enjoy the different types of people I encounter and being able to make a difference in people’s lives.”
“People” is a theme that runs throughout the things Josh enjoys about his career choice.
“My favorite thing about working here is my co-workers. I have made many life long friends since I have worked here. We really do have a good group of people at LifeNet,” he said.
For others considering a career in EMS, Josh offers good advice.
“Being a part of EMS can take a hard toll on anyone, but it can also be the most rewarding career anyone could choose,” he said. “It’s a career that shapes and forms every team member to be the absolute best at showing humility, empathy, and compassion to people who are having their worst day.”
When Josh isn’t at work, you’ll usually find him with his family.
“I have a great family, so on my off days I enjoy spending time with them. I enjoy going to our family cabin, and I enjoy going out and listening to the local music scene!”
